Bishop George Dallas McKinney is one of a kind in the history of the Church Of God In Christ. That Pentecostal church is rich in stories of men and women who dedicated their lives to serving the Lord Jesus Christ and working for the salvation and sanctification of lost souls. Bishop McKinney’s life history is full of episodes reflecting that great evangelical movement which was a bright light during the dark years of the twentieth century and into the current twenty-first century. His story is unique, however, in that it expanded the movement of the Pentecostal church and reached areas of acknowledgment and glory outside of the traditional African American denomination. This happened in ways that were unique and dynamic, creating an impact on Anglo Americans and the world.
